The RNC 2012 has come to a close. A lot of folks have written me asking about why the Republicans didn’t hit Obama harder? Where was all the stinging attacks on Obama? Where was the hockey mom with lipstick moment?
The way I see it, this convention wasn’t about slamming the opposition, but about setting a tone for the party as a whole. It was about highlighting the two paths that we, as a nation, are facing with this election.
One path leads to more debt, more 30 something-year-olds demanding we pay for their birth control and more entitlements, more rich celebrities telling us we need to sacrifice more and a President who measures success by how big he can grow the government. The mentality of this path is encapsulated in President Obama’s line, “You didn’t build that.”
